Chiropractic in Tucson
A small practice on Fort Lowell Road for adults over 65. Every visit starts with a conversation, the care is low-force, and we explain each step before it happens.

Before you book
Dear neighbor,
You may be wondering whether chiropractic care is right for you at this point in your life. I can't answer that from here. I can tell you how we work, so you can decide for yourself.
I opened Temper Chiropractic to care for adults over 65. Our tables lower to the height of a chair. We use low-force methods, done by hand or with a small hand-held instrument, and we change them to fit what your body tells us that day. If something doesn't feel right, say so, and we stop.
Your first visit is mostly a conversation. Dr. Boatwright or I will ask about your health in person, never on a form you fill out alone at home. We look at how you stand, sit and walk, and we tell you what we find and what we do not know yet. If your symptoms point to something a physician should look at first, we say so and send you there.
Medicare covers only spinal manipulation. It does not cover exams, x-rays or most other services. Before any visit that Medicare may not pay for, we go through it with you on paper, and you decide. The box further down this page says it plainly.
We have tried to make the office easy to reach: parking beside the door, chairs with arms in the waiting room, and time. Nobody here will rush you.
I don't make promises about results. People respond to care in different ways, and I will tell you honestly if I don't think it is helping.
Come in, or call and ask us anything.
Micaela Rivero, DC. Owner, Temper Chiropractic.
A first visit
Nothing happens to you before it is explained.
Park beside the door. The front desk greets you, checks your name and your cards, and shows you to a chair with arms.
We ask about your health in person and listen. Tell us about your other doctors, and anything that makes sitting or standing harder.
The doctor watches you stand, sit and walk, and checks your spine and joints with light touch. X-rays are taken only when medically necessary.
What we found, what we suggest, what it costs and who pays. Take it home and read it before you decide.
Medicare
The same box is on the Medicare page, with the questions people ask us.
Medicare covers only spinal manipulation. Exams, x-rays and other services are not covered.
After you meet your Part B deductible, you pay 20% of the Medicare-approved amount for the manipulation Medicare covers.
For care Medicare does not cover, we give you an Advance Beneficiary Notice before the visit. It says what Medicare may not pay and what it would cost you. You decide whether to go ahead.

Every page says what a visit includes, what we do not claim and when to see a physician first.
