FAQ
Questions people ask before they call
If yours is not here, call us. A person answers.
What happens at my first visit?
You check in, talk with the doctor, have a gentle exam and leave with a written plan and a written statement of cost. We ask about your health in person, not on a form. Tell us when you book if you use a cane or walker or need extra time.
What are the risks of chiropractic care?
Chiropractic care has known risks. Most are mild, such as soreness for a day or two. Rarely, serious problems have been reported after spinal manipulation, including after manipulation of the neck. Your doctor explains the risks before care and asks you to say if anything feels wrong. If your symptoms point to something a physician should see first, we tell you so.
Will it hurt?
Most people feel light pressure. Some feel sore afterward. We use low-force methods, change them to fit you, and stop when you ask.
How many visits will I need?
Your doctor sets a plan with you after the exam, and you can change it at any time. We do not promise a number of visits.
Do you take my insurance?
We bill Medicare for spinal manipulation and bill other plans where the plan allows. Medicare covers only spinal manipulation. Call us with your plan name and we help you check.
What if I do not use insurance?
You have the right to a Good Faith Estimate. Ask us, and we give you a written estimate in advance, and an itemized receipt afterward.
Do I need an x-ray?
Not always. We take x-rays only when medically necessary, and we tell you why and what it costs first. Medicare does not cover them when a chiropractor orders them.
Can someone come with me?
Yes. A spouse, a daughter or a son is welcome in the room, and we speak to both of you.
I already see a doctor. Can I still come?
Yes. Tell us who your doctors are, and with your permission we keep them informed. We do not ask you to stop seeing anyone or to change a medicine.
What if I need to cancel?
Please call as early as you can. Ask us about our cancellation policy.
