Care
X-rays, when needed
Pictures of the spine, taken only when your doctor judges they are medically necessary.
Many first visits have no x-ray. If your doctor thinks one would change what she does, she tells you why, what it shows and what it costs, and you decide. If you have had recent pictures from another provider, bring the report or ask them to send it.
Medicare does not cover x-rays ordered by a chiropractor, so we give you the cost in writing before any picture is taken.

What to expect
A visit, in the order it happens
What a visit includes
A talk about why a picture would help
The cost in writing before it is taken
A look at the result together, in plain words
How long and how often
Your doctor sets a plan with you after the exam. We do not promise a number of visits, and you can change the plan at any time.
What we do not claim
We do not take x-rays as part of every visit, and we do not say a picture alone tells us how you will do.
How it is paid
Medicare does not cover x-rays ordered by a chiropractor. We give you an ABN and the cost on paper first.

Questions
Questions about x-rays
Do I need an x-ray?
Not always. We take one only when it is medically necessary, and we tell you why before we do.
Can I use pictures from my other doctor?
Often, yes. Bring the report or ask your other provider to send it, and your doctor looks at it.
Who pays for an x-ray?
Medicare does not cover x-rays ordered by a chiropractor. With other plans, the plan decides, and we help you check before the visit.
